Bob’s first look at the #Cheltenhamraces

Well it nearly wasn’t on! The going is Soft but bound to be Heavy in places and that means it could well throw the form book away. However, the last 10 years at the course has seen a number of soft races so therefore the stats could still help out.

Hyde Novices Hurdle (Ballymore)

This looks like quite a close affair but for me there are two main horses to look at Champagne Well and I K Brunel. Both are in the right odds range and have raced this season already and won that race. What it will come down to is who is better at Soft to Heavy ground and looking at the races they have done so far I K Brunel comes out on top.

Verdict: I K Brunel to win

Prestbury Juvenile Hurdle (JCB Triumph)

Favourites and short odds do quite well in this race, as well as Paul Nicholls and that is why Mick Pastor is the head of the race at the moment. However, I think Botox Has could do well here but it could really go to any of them!

Verdict: Botox Has to win
