Sodexo Gold Cup H’Cap Chase (Grade 3) (Class 1) – Ascot

Betting Guide (Updated 28/10/19)

Age: No 4 year olds have won this race and none older than 10.

Weight: 90% of winners were more than 6lbs lighter than the top weight. The top weight won last time out in a much smaller field than normal.

Favourites do not tend to win.

Nationality: French or Irish

Form: There is no real indicators from whether they won or placed last race. Over the last 5 years, more horses than not have raced this season already and either won or placed. This is a changing trend from the last 10 years when horses given a break before this race ran better. If the horse ran last season then it needs to have won at the same distance. If it has been run this season then that does not seem to matter. The horse most definitely needs to have been a going winner.

Odds: Around 10/1 or lower.

Trainer: G Moore has won it twice in the last 5 years.
